17 youth riders representing 6 cycling clubs in the region, joined Cycle Stars in a cycle race development day at Evesham Velo. The event was led by head coach Steve Preston and fellow coach Jim Harley, there were two guest speakers from elite riders Mike Cripps Army Cycling Coach and former Road Race Rider and Michael Knight 'Time Trialist' who rode for Team Bottril. 

Riders had the opportunity of plenty of track time on the superb new track at Evesham Velo and to discuss team tactics with coaches. Steve said: "We've had an amazing day and the young riders were all very enthusiastic, and the positive feedback has been welcome. We look forward to hosting another event in the near future." 

 Sample of feedback: As parents we were very pleased with the development day on Friday and would definitely like some more in the future. We were confident he would have a great day and felt it was a safe environment to leave him for the day.

Olivers feedback:-

From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and enthusiastic for the day ahead. It was an enjoyable day without any waiting around, we were always doing something which made the day fly by. There were lots of new skills I learnt and I’m hoping they benefit me in my next races. The professionals did a great job of coaching and gave us some good tips for our racing. I would really like there to be more full days because I learnt a lot from it and it was really enjoyable. 

We have a very full calendar of cycling events so having dates for future days soon would be very beneficial. He wants to do it all!!
