Cycle Stars Youth Academy

Cycle Stars Youth Academy has been launched to support talented young riders to achieve their dreams of becoming an elite cyclist and possibly representing their country. Cycle Stars Coaches have been successful in identifying talent at a young age and are working to develop their skills to become winners. All our academy riders are already competing at high level and regulary seen on the podium      

Becoming an Academy Rider:

All riders conseidered providing they can achieve the required standard

You can chieve academy status in Road, Time Trial, Cyclocross or Track

The required criteria is as follows:

1. Podium; Achieve a podium position on at least occasions (Go-Ride events) not considered.

2. Combative; Coaches will observe you racing, they will be looking for your ability to overtake make a break or sprint.

3. Pace; being able to maintain a high pace over a distance of 10 or 25 miles relative to other academy riders of the same age category.

4. FTP test, you will complete a managed FTp test to ascertain your power to weight ratio.

5. Parent/Rider agreement; Racing at a high standard needs commitment from rider and support from parents.

6. Professional image; Representing Cycle Stars Academy in a professional manner at all times and not doing anything to bring the academy into disrepute.
