Cycle Stars hosted the first Southern Region Grass Track Championships

The event was held at Belmont School in Cheltenham, we had 34 pupils from local schools competing, some more the very first time. We were pleased to see visiting riders from Beacon RC and Maindy Flyers make the journey to be with us.

Due to the number of  entries in the U8s we had to split the category into a girls and boys race. Racing was very close between Lakeside and St Marks, with the St Marks girls winning Gold with an amazing performance.

Exciting races were witnessed from all categories in school years 1 to 8. The event is to become an annual event hosted by local schools, if your school would like to be involved in British Schools Cycling they can by contacting the BRITISH SCHOOLS CYCLING ASSOCIATION
